Isabelle's Review (52)

Our family policy was getting more expensive. We were worried about exclusions if we switched to someone else. We spoke to Paul at Better Health, who recommended a switch with the same level of cover at a lower price!

The Problem

Isabelle and her husband had family private medical insurance covering them and their three children. They’d been with their insurer for some time. They’d made a few claims over the years and, as a result, their premiums had gone up. Isabelle was curious, how would their policy compare now on price?

Isabelle’s concerns were the same as many of our customers. Isabelle was worried that the family’s medical history might make it difficult to switch insurers, or that they’d risk having conditions excluded in the future.

The Solution

Our Healthcare Consultant, Paul, did a thorough review of the family’s current policy, their medical conditions and their priorities for future cover.

Knowing comparative policies well, Paul then asked Aviva if they’d cover the family without any exclusions. Aviva said yes. Paul confirmed they could switch on the same underwriting terms, giving them the same level of cover, and – even better – the new policy came in with a 32% saving on its annual premium.

Our consultant's summary

"Like many families, Isabelle was worried their medical history would prevent a switch. I was really pleased we could get the same cover for them at a lower cost."
