Mr A ‘s premium had gone up on renewal despite not claiming. He’d seen a very competitive price on a different policy elsewhere but wanted some help to understand the cover.
As part of our comprehensive review, we looked into the policy and found that it would mean re-underwriting him on a moratorium basis, removing the extended cancer cover which was a priority for him. And we also advised him that taking up this policy would mean losing cover for his pre-existing conditions.
Mr A was very grateful for this advice and opted to stay with his current insurer.
